Family home projects we've been inspired by recently

As you know, both Sophie and I write for a variety of homes and interiors magazines and so we’re exposed to such an array of stunning projects – we’d love to share some corkers with you that will hopefully give you some inspiration for your own projects. We’ve collated some of our favourite shots below that showcase creative and innovative ideas for your home, big and small.

Emily Dobbs - London loft conversion

Photography: Rachel Ferriman

I’ve been in awe of Emily’s work since I discovered her and wrote a piece for The Guardian on her own home – in her latest project she’s come up trumps again with this stunning loft conversion that’s full of stripes (everyone who knows me knows I love a stripe) and a circus-inspired nook, naturally. It’s whimsical and I love it.

Sola kitchens - Scandi Asian project

I was writing a piece recently on open-plan layouts and stumbled across this award-winning kitchen by Sola kitchens that celebrates the owners' Sri Lankan and Singaporean heritage and their enjoyment of living close to nature. It’s a great example of how to successfully create that indoor-outdoor connection and who doesn’t love a swing seat?
